I'm a vegetarian, kind of. Tofu is the most discusting thing I ever tasted so I eat alot of fish and sometimes chicken. But I am so picky about it. I won't eat drumsticks or anything and if I see veins in it or if I even see it before it's cooked I'll starve myself on a salad or two.
Just the thought of seeing the deer being alive then all of a sudden it being cut into, it screaming in pain, then all of the guts come out and the buchers slicing it is... painful.
Just my point of view.
I cannot stand deer meat.. it gags me. Don't know why, it always has a horrible gamey taste everytime I have eaten it. Like lamb.
I however LOVE.
Elk
Moose
BEAR BURGERS.. YUM
Buffalo
Llama (yes I have eaten llama, his name was rampage, and he became meat for a reason)
Shark, OH I love the shark meat. Jerkey, steaks.. Can't eat it that often though. Too much mercury.
Well, of course. But usually (at least in slaughter houses) they cut the animal when it's alive to take out the guts. It's dead when it's cut up.
Even with hunting, it's hard to imagine what the animals go through. Hunters don't always hit the head or heart so the animal goes through alot of pain and is still alive when it's cut open.
::in a teasing sing song voice:: that's cause you lubs me
and I know which thread is which gramps... Oh I got deer meat, it just isn't steaks I want the steaks
Aww poor baby .My god my steaks tonight were the BEST i have ever had

You have never witnessed anything that really happens in a slaughter house have you? I have and the animals are DEAD before they touch them.. Now the hunter part.If the hunter loves the meat after the kill he does make sure its a clean kill .I know several hunters that will set in a blind all day before they even think about pulling a trigger or release a arrow. The reason is because they wait for the one shot = clean kill.
