Amen. I couldn't agree more. My youngest is 7 months and my clothes have taken a turn for the worse with her constantly spitting up on them. And also being a mom for so many years as well I've pretty much given up on dressing spiffy everyday. Jeans, sweatpants, t-shirts, sneakers, flip-flops in the summer is my thing. The only luxury I afford myself for everyday is doing my hair and putting on some eyeliner. So I dont "look" tired all the time LOL. I hate to say but I can't remember the last time I "dressed up". Being a mom for a lot of years now it just seems at some point I started buying stuff that hid the spit ups, the snot stains and had enough pockets to carry somebody's Hot Wheel car and somebody else's favorite Barbie lip gloss. Oh and it had to wash well in case somebody either peed or puked on me!
With my youngest now 6 I am looking forward to the day when I won't dress to hide the grubbiness that comes with motherhood but you know what.....
when that day finally comes, I think I'll be a bit sad too.
Oh well, there's always grandbabies to look forward too!
