Re: New RTBs!
They look great! I know about aggressive! Just a got a girl by FedEx today and thought she'd rather kill me than let me get her into her new home!! Jeez!! Let me know of any tricks you might use that help....

Re: New RTBs!
Hooks are beautiful instruments
That last girl is amazing. I would imagine she's just pissy because she's in shed. Can you imagine trying to slough off your epidermal layer, and then someone puts you in this tub and carts you around in a bumpy car? Lol, I'd hiss at you too!
If all she did was hiss, I'd say you shouldn't have any worries. That's not agressiveness... that's just her way of saying: "I don't like you right now, leave me alone, I can do it myself!"

Re: New RTBs!
The breeder made sure and told me that she was in a bad mood because of her shed and she really didn't want to be moved into the storage box he brought her in, and she usually didn't act like this. After he told me he got her from a children's class I wasn't too worried anymore, shes just going to get some nice alone time until the sheds over.
He said he used hooks to get her out of cages too All the hooks I've ever seen are so small though, for vipers and such, I don't think I've ever seen one that wouldn't just jab her in the side and make her angry.. do they make really huge ones? Like small male burmese or reticulated python size? When she settles I'll try to get a measurement of her girth.. I'm just trying to think of comparisons right now.

Good luck with them. Lets hope she calms down, if not, send her here, I have a way with agressive snakes, maybe thats why 1/2 my collection is bitey?!?

I'll put some updated pictures of both after the big girls shed.. The first girl is a doll.. shes very calm, and her color is beautiful.. she almost reminds me of my Hog with all the orange in her. I'll definitely get some full body pictures of her soon.
Oh, and heres an update on my other RTB that had the RI back in December.. After a month on Baytril, the RI didn't clear, and my vet didn't seem to know much, so I have found a much better exotics vet and just got home from the RTBs checkup with him.. Shes on much stronger antibiotics now, and if the RI doesn't clear up in 3 weeks we're going to do an x-ray or take some samples from her lungs to see what the problem is. The good news is that shes gained some weight since she went on Baytril, and shes looking really good. So I'm hoping this new medicine helps, but if not I'll do everything I can to get her better.
