    another worry thread!

Okay so the past couple days I noticed Lucy had a pink belly. I figured it was a sign of shedding. Several days later the same pink belly. Has this happened to anyone else?

I'm about to set up an appointment with the vet because I'm worried it could be the beginning of scale rot.

Temps are 92 on the hot. 78-80 on the cool. 50-60 for the humidity. I'm using coconut husk.

    Hi,

Have the rest of her colours changed slightly? Does she seem kind of dark and dull to you or have a milky sheen?

The white areas on snakes appear pink at times during shed. look over other white areas and see if the discoloration is isolated or not.

The color on her seems about the same. She seems shinier but thats about it.

I will take another look tomorrow. Right now I took out here substrate and replaced it with newspaper. Unfortunately my herp vet won't be available for another week.

    Re: another worry thread!

shedding is actually a lengthy process, so a couple of days might be quite normal. Keep a close eye on it just in case but it doesn't sound too worrisome yet

    Re: another worry thread!

Well it's been since about Sunday. Hopefully (I'm praying) its just shedding.

The reptile expo is this Saturday. I was wondering if there were any care products were looking into for this kind of situation.
