    Update for Robin

Over a month ago Robin brought me 1.2 beautiful rats (new blood for my colony.)

Here is one of the girl (Het Dumbo) and her first litter of 16 (I am finally producing some Dumbos )

The other female Jingles (Dumbo girl rescued from petsmart by Robin) is also doing well and had her first litter 2 days ago, 6 healthy babies double het blue dumbo

Never thought breeding rats would be so much fun but I am hooked.

    Re: Update for Robin

Yup - Jingles was "free" - and I picked her up Christmas Eve because they had her in the back, because they said she bit an employee - never bit me once, was a complete sweetheart - I got her for Deborah.

Nice to see the het dumbo had a nice sized litter! That's about average sized for my girls - I'm glad she produced so well for you. So do you definitely have dumbos from her??????

You'll love breeding rats, Deb. You get all those lovely feeders and if you want to you can make some of the breeders into part-time pets too! Rats are just fun and so easy to care for really.

That's a lovely first litter and a really pretty female. Congrats on the dumbo's!

I have not check yet, I decided to give her some well deserved rest before messing with her
because they said she bit an employee
That is still hard to believe she is one of the sweetest girl I have, she love to cuddle, and did not even try to bite when I check her babies.
    You'll love breeding rats, Deb.
I have since I started over a year ago, I thought I wouldn't but I really do and the genetic part is so much fun too.
