    Prescenting F/T?

I have read a lot about presecnting for live feedings to get the nsakes in the mood before the food arives. But how is this done for F/T? Or is it even needed for F/T?

    Thanks.

I feed FT to the boas and what I do is put them on a towel in the room frozen. I let them thaw in the room, then that night I warm them and feed. Everybody is definately ready to feed with the scent in the room.

We put the rat in a bowl and place it on or next to the enclosure to thaw during the day, and warm it up just before offering it.

Another way is to use soiled bedding and put it in or around the enclosure.

You can even rub the rat in the soiled bedding. Anything to get that snake ready for some dinner.

    Re: Prescenting F/T?

Ive never prescented but have never had an issue. I feed all my snakes in a separate feeding enclosure so thats my form of "prescenting." The snakes know just by being placed inside the feeding enclosure that food is coming. I do thaw them in the snake room where they are fed so that helps. Keeping a routine feeding schedule will help getting your snakes ready to eat.
