Natural migraine cures?
Anyone got any??
I always get migraines around this time of year, and I hate painkillers for them because sure it doesn't hurt, but you still feel fuzzy.
I know about caffeine helping in small doses, also black tea usually helps, but anyone have any other suggestions?
I'm lucky, I don't get so much light or noise sensitive unless there's a drastic change in levels (like going from dark to light, or sudden loud noises)... But it sure would be nice to find something other than half a bottle of advil that helps!

I was just considering crawling across the road for a bottle of coke and pouring what's left of the rum in it... lol.
In theory it works the same as something like Ibuprofin because it thins out the blood, plus it's got the caffeine and the sugar!

Re: Natural migraine cures?
in some cases headaches and migranes can be caused by dehydration so you may want to try taking an advil and drinking a tall glass of water and relax until hopefully it passes. caffeine and alcohol actually dehydrate when consumed so they may have a negative affect on you.
although i used to be a big headache and migrane sufferer and in certain cases a little caffeine would help but i never tried alcohol.
now i rarely get them and i think its due to staying hydrated and knowing when to hydrate if i feel one trying to sneak up on me.
hope it will work for you too!

Re: Natural migraine cures?
Already tried water all day My Dr was at a loss for 'what caused them' because we weeded out all the usual lifestyle causes. They haven't been as bad this year as in the past, but they are always end of winter beginning of spring without fail.

it could be eye strain from those bright snowy winter days. ive got them all my life and the best thing that ive had was muscle relaxers. they dont make you all jacked up and you dont have to continually take them like pain medicine.
