Any Extra Benefit to a Het Pastel Het Albino?

Just wondering. Beyond the het albino AND het pastel, is there anything special about this? You can't even get a Pastel Albino, can you?

Ok, totally my bad. I read it wrong over at Graziani. It is a Pastel Het Albino...So, it's a pastel with the recessive albino trait. So, if I breed it to another Pastel Het Albino, can I then get a Pastel Albino?

hmmm...i wonder what that will look like...so, if my novice understanding is correct, Pastel is a dominent trait, so even breeding to normals will yield colorful offspring, huh?

Pastel is a co-dom mutation, because there's a super form (Super Pastel). A pastel bred to a normal will give each egg a 50% chance of being a pastel.

We got one of Ganziani's Pastel Het Albinos. He is a nice little guy, but probably our most tempermental currently.

Yes their is such a thing as a pastel albino. The problem with them is you really have to know what you are looking for to see it. A specific patch of faded yellow shows on the head and most people would never notice it. It also probably would not show up well in a picture. I'm betting a Super Pastel Albino would be impossible to see.

When Greg Graziazni was on Reptile Radio he said the great thing about the pastel albino is that they stay really yellow as adults and dont wash out like a regular albino.

That will be something interesting to see. Greg knows what he is talking about. Might have to change up some of the breeding plans to give our pastel het albino a chance to breed to our albino and see what comes of it!
