New addition double Het VPI Snow!

We have a new addition. He is a double het VPI Snow (Het VPI Axanthic and Albino) born in 2006 and goes 517 grams. Got him from RDR. Named him Seth

Here are some updated pictures of our other guys.

Apohpis: Normal Male 2006 590 grams. He was our first.

Hathor: Female Lemon Bee 2007. She is 367 grams.

Ra: Pastel Het Albino male 2007. He is a baby at 227 grams. He eats, but just does not want to gain any weight.

We also have 3 others coming all females:

    1. Egeria: Normal that goes 1800+ grams born in 2005 from Heathers Herps. Be here hopefully on Tuesday.

    2. Qetesh: Albino not sure of weight and she is 2007 born.

    3. Amonet: 100% Het VPI Axanthic 2007 born.

The collection is growing and it looks like we may be doing some limited breeding here this year with Seth and Egeria to produce some 50% PH Albino, 50% PH VPI Axanthics, and 25% PDH VPI Snow. Plan on keeping the Females to breed back with Seth and maybe if we are extremely lucky it might start Snowing here in 4 years.

In about 2-3 year we should have spiders, Pastels, albinos, Axanthics, a super pastel or two, a bumblebee or two and if we are really lucky a Killer bee! Also we will be making tons of Hets and possible hets as that is the nature of breeding.

Yes the snows are a long term goal along with some others we will be playing with. Ralph was a good guy to deal with. He comes across a little wrong online, but in person seems to be a really nice person. So far we have dealt with Greg and Jackie Graziani, Mike Cole (Ballroom Pythons South), Heathers Herps, RDR, and Dave and Tracy Barker (VPI)

We are actually naming all our Ball Pithons after Goa'ulds and Tolkra from the series Star Gate. My wife and I are huge fans of that show.

Once we make it through our first breeding cycle we already have the start of a second year of breeding planned since the babies from the first cycle will not be old enough to breed until the 3rd cycle at the earliest:

Hathor to Ra for Killerbees, Super Pastels, Pastels, and Spiders all with 50% PH Albino.

Seth with Qetesh and Amonet to create some Albinos and Axanthics that could have the double het traits for Snows. Along with normal that will have all kinds of PH traits.

We will probably also breed Ra to Egeria to create some pastels and normals that will also be 50% PH Albino.

Years seem like long waits, but that is what it takes unless you want to pump out big bucks on snakes old enough to already breed!
