Nah, let's pay the football player five million for a year, and the teacher $28,000.Who cares if the masses are ultimately uneducated? We'll just ply them with sports (the Romans tried it and it worked, why not us?).
Sorry, my venting for the day...Granted he's in no way an animal person, but just goes to show you how little the general public are familiar with snakes (and herps in general).
