    He looks good despite being a bit underweight... My guess on breed is an American bulldog cross.

    Yeah, I don't really know. I didn't really see it either, but I go by what people tell me when it comes to dogs. He does look a lot like those, but he doesn't have the jowls like the dogs in the links. Everything else looks the same though. I'd bet he's at least half dogo argentino. Thanks for the links.

    Rescued dog update

    We took Avalon to the vet last night to get his stiches out, and the vet said he's looking great. He's put on 9 lbs. since we took him in and sis wounds are healing nicely. It's taking a while to get the stains out of his fur, but he's looking a lot better. Once he's had a couple more baths and he puts on a few more pounds I'll take some more pictures for a before and after comparason.
    What are these mojavas I keep hearing so much about?
