    Re: mojave x pastel ratio

    You will get;
    1/4 Normals
    1/4 Pastel
    1/4 Mojave
    1/4 Pastel Mojave

    It's the same ratio with all the co-doms. Good luck

    Re: mojave x pastel ratio

    Yes, that is the theoretical genotype ratio.

    However, this is a question I find very interesting as TSK had terrible luck when first trying this cross. I think it took them several clutches to finally get the expected pastave. It got me wondering if one of the genes sometimes covers the expression of the other. Like maybe some genetic pastaves look like just pastels or mojaves. But I did hear some results from someone more recently who had better than expected odds producing the combo so probably just bad luck at first.

    I have a pastel whose father was a hypo mojave so I was hoping some how he has a not fully expressed Mojave gene in there but it doesn't sound likely. Nice looking little guy though.
