Why do you have a bird feeder hanging in your snake room?

    Great video!

I see that your keeping the rats and the snakes in the same room. How is that working out for you?
In my new house I have a seperate house in the yard where I was thinking about keeping the snakes and also breed some rats but I'm not shure.

Re: RATS!!! RATS!!!! and more RATS!!!

My rats have been two steps away from my snakes for over a year now, and I've had no problems - the snakes aren't any more aggressive - they know when feeding day is.

Re: RATS!!! RATS!!!! and more RATS!!!

Great show and lots of info. Thanks for sharing.

Your rats seems smaller than the PEW that I have. Mine are about 8-9 inches when stresched, not counting the tail. How big are yours?

I heard if we handle the pinks with our hands and put them back, the moms won't nurse them because of the human scent. How do you do that?

    Thanks

No problem I love to share my animals.

I've never measured them before I have some males the size of small dogs and even a few great big females.

I have never had a problem with that in fact if I notice a mom not nursing a pink I will pull it out and foster it off to another tub that has pink around the same age. I have done this a few time with great success.

I have good rats I can even reach in and take baby's right off the mom nursing and she just lays there.

Great questions. Glad I could offer my limited input.

Re: RATS!!! RATS!!!! and more RATS!!!

    nice video Ed!

My moms are pretty good about letting me reach in and grab the babies...even right after they are born. Well, maybe a couple hours after..I never see them actually giving birth.
