This is one of if not the most stunning nature programmes I've ever seen.

It's David Attenborough's last series (he has said he will continue to narrate the odd special) dedicated solely to reptiles and amphibians. The cinematography is jaw droppingly beautiful. Next week's episode (4/5) is devoted to snakes - any UK boarders need to make sure they watch. I believe it will come to Animal Planet in the USA but I have no idea of dates. I'm snappin this up on dvd as soon as it is released.

I just watched all of the preview clips and what a great show... Loved the one of the conda giving birth in the water. Thanks to you now I know what I want for my birthday.

Just finished watching the lizard one and can't wait for the snake one next week.

This man has been one of my heros since I was a glint in the milkman's eye.

Just watched the snake episode. Great stuff. A few highlights:

-The yellow anaconda giving birth in water
-The timber rattlesnake lying in ambush on a mouse run
-The venomless sea snake covered in algae scraping fish eggs off coral
-The snake that rips of and eats the legs of a crab it kills - leaving the carapace untouched
-An affrock eating an antelope, stretching so much it actually tears its sides (no serious injury involved)
-An egg eating snake invading a weaver bird nest and xray footage of it swallowing an egg
-The tiger snakes blinded by gulls that still hunt successfully
-King cobras duelling
-The earthworm like tiny flower pot snake eating ant eggs

I'm going to bump this again just because I want everyone to watch this wonderful series. Just saw the final episode on turtles and crocodillians. I think David Attenborough is my man of the year so far.
