Re: What famous people are you related to?
A famous great great great uncle of mine.. many greats removed...
Stephen Foster..
"Camp Town Races" sing that song..
do dah do dah,
In its day it was a popular song, now.. not so much...
And my grandfather worked on the Bell X-1 with Lockheed, the one that Yeager flew to break the sound barrier.
And my father... did the mathmatics on todays supermarket scanners. And he created - Gorgon the first talking pin ball machine for Bally Mft. Oh and the gigantic one dollar slot machines, and helped create the video poker and bingo machines in casinos every where.

Re: What famous people are you related to?
My great X N grandfather was Queen Victoria's doctor. I would have to google it to find out his name.
And I am part of the Brody Clan in Scotland, so I am just laying in wait to go and reclaim my castle. Hard to clean and drafty as heck.
And my partner is related to Mitsou. Which in Quebec has far more cachet than all the Euro-trash name dropping.
Great, now I will have "Bye Bye Mon Cowboy" stuck in my head all night... actually, that is not such a bad thing.

My grandma is into geneology so we have our family tree traced back into the 1500s or so.
I'm also related to William Wallace (Mel Gibson portrayed him in Braveheart)
aaand.. on my dad's side I'm related to Rob Roy (I never did see the movie, but there's one about him too. lol)

Re: What famous people are you related to?
my grandfather was a huge geneology buff, so here it goes, im diana princess of wales's 20th cousin on my moms side (spencer), on my father's side my relatives fought alongside william wallace in scotland in the 1500's (ish) and my family clan still has a castle in scotland but it's basically just a foundation nowadays, the johnston clan

Re: What famous people are you related to?
They just did a genealogy book on our family (Lybarger) recent enough to have my children listed in there. They also have the Lybarger web site which mentions my mom, cousins, aunts, etc.Ran across some famous people in there, and a picture of the Lybarger Church in pensylvania, but I'm to lazy to dig any names out.
I'm sure, that just like everyone else we also have our share of horse thieves back there too!
