Well, lets see....My mother's side of the family came over on the Mayflower; the ancestor was Edward Doty. Old Edward is credited with having the first pistol duel in this country...
On my dad's side are Native American's; the settler's called them the Paiute tribe. They brought back the Ghost Dance.
My husband's relation was Baron von Stargard and the old Stargard castle (formally of Prussia) is still standing. He also had some ancient relation who was a princess but she was caught drunk and dancing on the table tops of a local pub and was pretty much disowned!!
