    Frozen Rat Suppliers

Hi!~ I usually get my frozen rats from the Mouse Factory, but I just checked RodentPro and their prices are much less. I've always heard mixed reviews from members about their quality and am wondering if anyone has ordered from them lately and what the quality of their rats was (clean, no feces, no broken parts, etc.) Thanks!

Rodentpro is pure junk they'll be at the Cleveland show tomorrow
i'll check and see if their any better but i doubt it.

You might want to take a look into American Rodent Supply. I hear good things about them.

    Re: Frozen Rat Suppliers

I ordered from rodent pro once before, but never again! There box was huge for a small order, and I payed a large sum of cash. But I then went to Big Cheese Rodents, and paid so much less for so many more rodents, and they shipped it in a tight box that was smaller than the rodent pro box, and I had more rodents in it! And rodent pro doesn't vacum seal there rodents like Big cheese does. And the rodents were bigger, and not broken.

I would recommend American Rodent Supply http://www.americanrodent.com/welcome.html instead of Rodent Pro

I'm not in the red zone shipping is still shorter than rodent pro. And I want an ARS rack soooo bad.

Looks like I'll give ARS a call and ask about shipping to Oregon. Thanks everyone!

    Re: Frozen Rat Suppliers

I can not comment on the others mentioned here in this post, but I can comment on RodentPro.com

I have used RodentPro.com for rats, rabbits and GPs. I only ordered rabbits from them twice. Both times they were junk. They smelled bad, poop and dirt all over the bags and rabbits.

The rats and GPs I have never had a problem with and they have always been pretty nice.

Its to my understanding that RodentPro.com breeds very minimal feeders, most are bred by others and then bought by RodentPro.com and re-sold by RodentPro.com. I'm not sure if this is true or not.

This could be the reasoning for their inconsistency in quality.
