Dumb Question that needs an answer...

I walked into my room and low and behold Furio has apparently fallen asleep under the heat light on his jungle gym thing. I looked though and noticed he seems kinda skinny to me... is this something I should worry about being that he's just 3 months old or is it normal for them to start off pretty skinny?

There is too much info left out of this to answer with an even educated guess...

Isn't he a new snake to you that has already eaten? Really would not worry about it unless he starts to lose weight from not eating at all....

Yep new to me. Had been fed before on frozen fuzzies. I think it might be just because he's so young yet?

Yeah...if he does not eat for you within a few weeks....try live food...but never leave him alone!

As long as his temps and humidity are fine....and he's kept in a quiet place...he should be fine....

just keep offering once a week.....but seriously, he MUST be given time to settle in....
try live, it may help (did for me)...but be prepared to house a live mouse......

Thanks for the advice. I'll give it another 2 weeks and I'm really hoping he'll eat for me Wednesday night so I can start the handling process this weekend. I will keep updating as to frustrations and triumphs?

(Trying to get a ball python to eat when it doesn't want to is like trying to get your son to follow in your footsteps and he just won't!)

    hahaha

He won't take the family business when you retire....even if you pay for college!!

Honestly, if you leave him alone for awhile....even you looking in while he's roaming may make him insecure.....try enclosing his cage in dark...maybe black paper on three sides of his tank....sounds silly but it works.....

    best of luck...keep us posted!!
