I think the whole thing was a staged act to look like they lost control and everyone is in danger(Everything on TV is prepared/staged even reality TV). There is no way any insurance company or any network would allow a deadly animal on a set with only a basket and snake hooks to protect them. I think it's a given that it had no venom. It is still sad that Bob would participate in such an irresponsible display of snake handling. Most people don't know one snake from another and this makes the hobby look like a bunch of death wish fools. Not helpful
