To give you an example of what we're up against, I'm trying to get permits to build a snake building on my property. The project passed all of the departments except for one... Planning. The person in charge of reviewing my project delayed the approval because he looked up "Bald Pythons" on the internet and somehow found a site about Rock Pythons and how they can have clutches of up to 200 eggs. He was convinced that I was going to produce thousands of man or pet eating snakes that could get loose and take over the local fauna while posing a serious threat in my neighborhood. I was finally able to educate him after going over his head and speaking to his superior, but this is just one example of the problems the people in this hobby have to face.

The appearance on Letterman certainly didn't do any favors for those of us trying to convince a ophidiophobic society that our pets are safe and non-threatening. Every year we have to deal with battling more restrictions and laws that make it more difficult to keep these creatures, so obviously something like this event is going to irritate more than a few people.
Well again I totally agree with you Lawrence. And I am sorry that you are having problems persuing your plans. The thing is that we are all just preaching to the choir. Everybody here already knows how bad their behavior looks. Question is how do you make other people see how bad it is. Also by veiwing these videos aren't we increasing the ratings of the vary actions we dispise. Jeff
