I've heard the procedure to remove the venom sacs doesn't always work, as well. IDK, I don't know much about hots at all... other than you shouldn't handle them bare-handed

There are venom sac/glands and the ducts that the venom travels through to reach the fangs.

There are documented cases of the ducts regrowing but if you take the sac out there is no way for venom to be produced.

Sort of like a vasectemy. IF you just snip the tubes someone may get pregnant. If you remove the testes themselves there is no way to produce sperm.
