Re: being as nice as possible but you have to be kidding me

[QUOTE=wilomn;716949]It was either a void, had it's mouth sewn shut, which I don't think it did as I am pretty sure I saw it open, or Bob has developed a death wish to go with his need for public accolade. QUOTE]

What do you mean by a "Void"? Sorry if I sound like a noob...but I am.

A snake that is referred to as a "void" is one that has had it's venom glands removed rendering it non-venomous. They can still bite, still have fangs, but no longer deliver venom.
I may not be very smart, but what if I am?

They are called venomoids, But any offspring they produce still carries the venom. Right Wes?

Correct. It's a relatively simple surgery that only removes the venom glands, not the snakes ability to produce little venom producing snakes.

Thanks! I've seen a few posts (not here) where people thought they where a hybrid of some sort and the offspring would be non venomous also..

That was really stupid. Even if it was venemoid they're still showing terrible handling practices.

That was pretty sad... I expected a lot more from Bob. BTW, anyone else notice that Fox labeled that monocled cobra a 'King Cobra'?

    Nice looking snake, though.
