they've been together for over a year... it was the only tank we had... and they did just fine together. a good friend of mine said if they got along together it wouldn't hurt.. and the biggest one is 6 ft. and the male is smaller.. i know the bigger one is atleast over 3 years.. and the male has to be over 3 also

1 tank... mommy, daddy and a bunch of babies... the brady bunch of snakes!
1st things first. get another tank and seperate them. if you want to breed then do some research and breed next year. if the female took then just be prepared and do more research.

Re: breeding
I don't care what your friend said, seperate them. Even if they seem to get alone great, its the best thing for your snakes. If you cannot provide the proper living conditions (one snake per tank) then you should not have gotten two snakes, even if they lived together with their previous owner. Sorry to be so harsh, but its the best thing for your snakes.

I am not disagreeing with anything you said here. But I do have one question.
If you cannot provide the proper living conditions (one snake per tank)
Where did the one snake per tank Code, Come from.. I have been around awhile now and have come across alot of these posts. Some people have had there snakes live together for upwards of 10 years. then bam one turns up gravid and they go online for help. Then what do we do? Slam um cause they are idiots! But are they?? I am going to pair up 4 pairs of bps in the same tub and monitor them for the next 3 years. I'll post updates on them once a month.
