a terra cotta bowl (unglazed-red) will work better because it is porous, and evaporated through the sides. this is why they are used to much for plants, keeps them from getting root-rot from standing water.
also, low wide with lots of surface area over your UTH
This is a great idea!! I am always wadding up paper towels to put on top of the hides to bump the humidity to the high 50's (even with a container of moss). It's so dry here in the high desert.... but I'm going to try this~ makes a lot of sense! Thanks!
