One of my normal females has really darkened up over the last 3 weeks. She is about to shed, but she's had this melanistic look to her for a while now. She's been locked up with my mojave 3 times so far.



My female Graziani pastel shed last week so I snapped another pic of her.

Hi lovely royals.I have a male that when he was shedding he looked very like your female.Heres a pic hope you dont mind me posting it.

Not at all. I'm waiting for her to shed to see how she looks. She's kind of dark to begin with, but I've never seen a snake in blue get as dark as she was about 10 days ago. She was almost solid black. She's about 1500g and is definitely a normal, but I'm interesting to see if it's only the shed or if it's something else - hormones or stress from breeding?
