Re: My snake wont eat
Can you give us a little info on the Enclosure she is in?
Do you have two hides
How are your temps
What substrate are you using
How are you measuring your temps
"Why do you need so many snakes?"
"Why do you need so many shoes?"

She is in a glass 20 gallon (long) aquarium.
She has 2 hides one on cool side one on warm side
I dont have a way to measure teps accurate
And substrate is carefresh, she has been on this type for a long time.
She is eating adult sized rats, not jumbos but regular adult rats.

Re: My snake wont eat
In addition to what Tyree said.
She was feeding on adult live rats
Keep in mind that adult rats are big and this could have led her to fast to catch up.
I personally feed nothing larger than small rats (about 65 grams) even to my biggest girls and this allow me to have BP that eat with consistency.
When I drop a live rat inside my feeding box
Keep in mind that handling your BP prior to feeding can cause stress which can lead to refusal.
How often do you handle her.
Get a scale and monitor her weight.
Double check your husbandry and make sure your temps & humidity are what they should be.
Feed smaller preys.

Re: My snake wont eat
temps are key for a good feeding response.
If they are cool they will go off feed.
Also an adult rat is real big for 1100 grams.
You need yo get your ambients temps in the low 80's and the hot spot in the low 90's and that should help.
I would start her on small live rats or rat weanlings.

Re: My snake wont eat

You MUST know your temps at all time, same thing for humidity.
I would suggest you to go to Walmart and get the following DIGITAL thermometer/Hygrometer , it will cost you about $12
Your temps should be 80-84 on the cool side and 90-94 on the warm side.
And remember anything below 75 is unhealthy and will increase the risk of RI (Respiratory Infection)
