Re: 100% het clown F x gen red patt M ?
Are you sure the red patterned male is genetic? I'm not familiar with it, so if you can share... that would be more helpful.
If so, you would get 50% het clowns with some gen red pat, depending on the genetics of the Red male...

Ahhhh! Reduced... I thought it was a new morph. Genetic Red Red balls would be amazing....
Okay, so if Gen Reduced is recessive, then it would be 50% double hets for reduced pattern and clown.

Thank you Heather. I'm one of those abbreviators for posting on forums. I do it at work to and I drive people crazy. I agree, Red Balls would be awesome!

GRP isnt exactly recessive. NERD says theres is primary. I believe some may be dominant, depends on what line. Its possible you can get 50% GRP 100% het clown. I may be wrong but this is what I understood from my searches.
In the end, we will all die alone

West Coast Jungle,
I abbreviate everything (sorry). Red pattern is actually "reduced" pattern and not a "red" (as in color even tho that would be too cool!). Both parents of this pair are proven genetic reduced pattern balls.
I like the answer of my last poster of 50% reduced pattern het for clown outcome. What are your thoughts now that you know it is a reduced pattern and not a red ball???
