    first real handling

    well tonight i got to really handle my bp, was really cool as it slithered between my hands.

    i have on question tho, later on today is when i will be getting my new tank for it, and also today is feeding day, now should i wait till tomorrow to try and feed because i will be changing it's home?

    You should wait after moving him. I'd give him at least a few days.

    Remember, they can go weeks or months without eating for no reason, so a week won't hurt

    yea a week is no problem for a Bp during winters months one of my males from november to febuary dosent eat

    Do remember though to be specific. While it might not be as much of a worry when a big healthy adult fasts a bit, a young BP at a light weight is a much bigger concern. Very young BP's generally don't fast and when they do it's often related to husbandry, excessive handling, health, etc. Even with an adult, if it stops eating, it's always a good idea to take a look at any triggers that might have encouraged fasting behaviours.

    When you do anything major with the snake's home, give it a bit of time to settle in before feeding. These snakes seem to do best when they feel safe and secure in their homes.

    well as i was taking all the advise from here.. the girlfriend thought the snake looked confortable and thougth that we should feed...and to my suprise from what you guys have said the snake at the rat within 5 mins of being in the cage
