    Here's my new BP

After a lot of deliberation, we decided Jabba was a good name for him, coz my kids and I are huge Star Wars nerds

Thanks a whole bunch to Heather (LadyOhh) for hooking me up with this guy.

    Re: Here's my new BP

Thanks... I was very pleasantly surprised at how big he is when I opened the package. Heather said he was 4', but I've never seen an adult BP in the flesh, so I wasn't expecting him to be as thick as my wrist

It sure does suck not being able to handle him for awhile, but I'm DEFINITELY looking forward to the first feeding. I've only fed mice before, so a medium rat should be some fun

    Good lookin' boy

FWIW though, my adult males don't get any more than 2 medium adult mice a week. They thrive and gain weight very easily off of just that. Either 2 mice that equal about 45-50g or one 3-4 week old rat that's equal in weight. Especially if you ever want him to breed. Fat males make lazy breeders.

I totally understand why. She was having internet difficulties, and went to the library so she could email me the FedEx tracking number for him.

I don't have any intention of breeding him at any point, but I'm not set on feeding rats. She said he's been eating medium rats, so I'm gonna try that first. Seems like a logical place to start

    Thanks for the compliments.

Congrats on getting your new snake, Chris. Jabba's a very nice looking snake and I'm sure you'll be very pleased with him.
