Re: Male vs Female... Which do you prefer?

i posted female but i really think that it just depends on the type of snake you are buying and for what purpose. if i was getting a recessive type of snake like albino or cinny then i would prefer a female but when it comes to codom and dom like spiders or pastel i like males

Lots and lots of female normals! And lots and lots of male morphs That way you can breed the same morph to few female normals

Amen to both. Both aspects came into play when selecting our last 3 snakes, but honestly, choosing the snake we loved the most weighed more heavily. =)

Re: Male vs Female... Which do you prefer?

It really doesn't matter to me rather it's male or female since we have no plans on breeding....just in owning a pet snake. But, if I were to breed, I would want a female, I think.

Males because they cost less, and I'm not breeder, and they are males like me.

Re: Male vs Female... Which do you prefer?

I went with 'male' because I wanted a smaller snake. (Although his daddy was above average for a male, and Salzedo seems to be living up to those genetics!) Also, I do not plan to breed. I lucked out and got one with a wonderful personality! I've never even heard him hiss... although I am curious to hear it!

That's what I was going with. I'm hoping to get my first co-dom in the spring and I definitely want it to be a male. I have a little girl right now, hopefully I can grow her up, and possibly pick up another bigger girl in the summer.

Re: Male vs Female... Which do you prefer?

When I went to get a ball python I wanted a girl, but I ended up with a boy due to the females selling fast for breeding...and my male snake is TONS more adventurous then my female (who I got later).

And seeing as how I am not up to breeding snakes just yet, I don't care much for more females.
