Re: Unknown morph
He doesn't seem to want any more pictures take of him right now but his eyes are deep brown and his belly goes from white to a brown splochy pattern. I will try to get more pictures later when I find fresh batteries.

Re: Unknown morph
If his eyes are brown then he's not Amel. It's possible that he's an ultramel. If there's any pattern at all on his belly then he's not a motley. Either way, he's cute.

Re: Unknown morph
He's a motley something....can't have those markings and not be a motley. Some motleys have varying degrees of belly color too. Hard to say what color he is without more pictures though.

Re: Unknown morph
That's not exactly true. The lavender I just posted pictures of has a perfect motley pattern almost a fourth of the way down his body and a perfectly clear belly to that point. And after that his checks start and the pattern breaks up. He's not a motley. I also hatched a normal het several genes including motley that had a fantastic motley pattern about a third of the way down. Connected saddles on top don't mean much. There is a difference between the color from the top bleeding into the belly area and the checkers that are found on a normal pattern. If It just has color from the sides/top bleeding into the belly area, then it is a motley. If it has checkers and color bleeding or just checkers, then it isn't a motley.

Re: Unknown morph
Actually, there are motleys that have belly checks that are true motleys. I agree that blended saddles doesn't mean motleys necessarily, but the guy on this thread looks very motley to me..all the way down its body.

Re: Unknown morph
To me the neck area is the only motley looking part.
What will the world come to if we have lots motleys with belly checks slithering about? hehe

Well, to the Original Poster of this thread, if you want a professional opinion I would suggest checking out www.cornsnakes.com. You could post it there and you will probably get a definitive answer (make sure you include a belly pic!).
Hahah I have seen a few motleys with belly checks...pretty weird, but it happens!
