bowl wrapping and side lying Q

so i have this female pastel who has locked up with my male pastel 4 times since november 1 2007. she now looks very swollen and is glowing. for maybe two weeks now she has been wrapping around her water bowl and yesterday i saw her lying on her side. her last shed was november 28 2007. does this behaviour indicate follicle growth or ovulation? will her next shed be her ovulation shed or pre-egg lay shed?

sounds like she's still developing follicles. If she had already ovulated you be seeing her laying on the hot side. the fact that she is still wrapped around the waterbowl would show me she is trying to stay cool and develop the follicles.

Hope that helps. Grats man! Sounds like your going to have some super pastels coming down the road!

thanks i hope so! so if she is developing follicles now then that would mean that her last shed on november 28 was her pre-ovulation shed and that her next shed will be her pre-egg lay shed right??

and would you suggest removing her hide box all together so that she has more room to make herself comfortable?
