Well, since I got mine as a gift with a 55gal tank included...that's what I kept him in when he was grown up... after the 10g, and the 20gL. All things considered, it worked pretty well while we had him.

Re: what do YOU keep your beardeds in?

im *thinking* about getting two 40gal breeder tanks so they each have their own.. ive heard the 55gal just isnt deep enough for them. The only problem I have with that is I then have to get two stands because we risk the basking lights burning our kids if they are on the bottom of say a 40gal breeder rack where you can stack two of them.. they love watching the dragons but we worry about them burning their hands on the lamps by not paying attention.. having two matching 40gal breeder tanks will look nice i think.

The 55 gallons I've seen at petsmart for the reptiles are short and deep. Do most places only carry the aquarium (for fish) types now? The one I'm thinking of is made for beardies and such... should be around 90$.

I made my own enclosure. It measures 60"x24"x21". It's large enough to handle two beardies without causing any competition for food or space.

Re: what do YOU keep your beardeds in?

I built one of the above mentioned Timeless Spirit enclosures, plus also used a 40 gallon breeder critter keeper. But now the boyfriend is just using a plastic tub that is normally used for putting Christmas trees in bought at Walmart after christmas time. Its about 4ft long by 18 inches wide. Works great and was cheap. He bought two more this last year to put his newest baby uromastyx's in.
