humidity too high
Ok. So I recently switched to a tub got some fexwatt, a ranco thermostat, an acurite thermometer and a 15 qt tub. I set this up for 2 days and the temp and humidity was holding great. 2 nights ago I transfered my BP and its favorite hide to the tub with paper towel as the substrate. When i got home from work yesterday the humidity was reading HI (which i beleive is over 90% cause it usually displays a number). So I moved the water bowl to the cool side of the tub but its still on top of a the flexwatt a little and now the humidity is holding at 71 which is still a little too high. Due to the temp of the room i cant move the flexwatt to cover less of the bottom of the tub. and due to floor space i cant move water bowl over anymore. Is there a substrate or something else that i can put in that will absurb some of the humidity?

Re: humidity too high
i cant because of the room temp. if i put more holes the temp in the tub wont be able to be maintained at the proper levels. I dont have a room that i can dedicate and isolate just for the snake.

Maybe try a little cheap cat litter in a small container? That's sometimes used to absorb humidity in other settings. Of course get it without any perfumes, etc.

71% humidity is fine. Most of my tubs run around 65-75% on a daily basis.

If you put less water in the container, or use a smaller container the humidity will lower. You'll have to change it out and refill more often, but it works.
