I truly wish you the best of luck! You CAN do this!

    I feel for ya!

For me, it's going to be:

4 years of basic/pre-med, 4 years of med school, 6-8 years of residency, not to mention specialization in surgery of snake bite victims... PLUS.... having a life, and a job.. most likely as a bartender somewhere... It makes me tired just thinking about it...

BUT... it's for the love of the game, right?

Wow, you'll really need to manage your time very well. Working 60 hours/week and then school on top of it will be brutal. Is this college or grad school? The average age for attendance has been going up, so I don't think you'll feel very out of place! I went back to college (after doing the 70's drop out thing) when I was 45 years old. It was terrific!! I am now in grad school, and while it is a load, it is so awesome!!! As I said, just really manage your time well and eek out some time for yourself. Since you are choosing this, you will succeed. Congrats!!

Wish me luck, I need it!!!

I don't think you'll ever regret your decision. Good luck!

BTW, don't worry about the youngsters in the class, many times they will look to you for real world experiences. I went back to school while working long hours with small kids and got my BS when I was 41 and then my masters when I was 50. My kids really learned some good life lessons along the way . . .
