Snake weights.
So I keep meticulous track of everything my snakes do. (at least I feel I do) My list of each goes as follows
Date weighed and weight
Date Fed and weight of food
Date Pooped/ pee'd
Date Shed
So last week I weighed my spider and she was at 173, and I fed her a 19 gram mouse the same night. 5 days later she pooped and weights and feeding begins again. Well after I weighed her she was at 203. Now what doesn't make sense to me is how she could have shot up an extra 9 grams in 5 days. So my first though was water retention. So I actually weighed out 9 grams of water in a little dish. It seemed like an awful lot for a little snake like her to drink, and she also pee'd the same night. So any clues on this? Or has anyone else experienced situations like this? I just thought it was weird. Plus she pooped so there would be weight lose there too. Its just peculiar.

Re: Snake weights.
i would say, she might not have been centered on the scale at first.
i had a problem like that a couple of weeks ago, but i re-weighed and it was cool.
so now, i weigh them twice, zeroing the scale after each

yeah she is always balled when I pick her up so she doesnt really move around at all. She pooped and peed today so I just weighed her. shes at 213 after a 17g mouse. Thats more like it. I usually try to get teh most accurate weight I can. I have been getting about 20grams on her every 10 days. Exciting!
