Teaching the Children..
Well, my nephews are visiting us from Boise. Since the theme for the POTM contest is Kids and reptiles I thought I would share a couple. My nephews have seen a snake, but never held one. They were so fascinated, they loved it. I wanted to show them that snakes aren't mean, and that there's no reason to be afraid of them. Since I use Houdini for this kind of stuff all the time, he was the perfect snake to do so with. So here they are,
From left to right
Nephew Josiah 2, Daughter Alex 3, Nephew Elijah 3, and Son Darius 4 (also my future bug man)
Completely fascinated.

They had so much fun, and were so good handling him. I was very impressed, and I am also very proud of Houdini, this being his youngest group of kids so far.
Thanks for looking.
Nothing better than starting them out early

What a wonderful set of pictures! I love introducing kids to snakes before they've had a chance to pick up a lot of silly misconceptions about them.

Thanks everyone.
I love the way in kind of teaches the parents too. The ones that are too scared to hold the snakes. They see their little ones doing it and realize its not so bad

Re: Teaching the Children..
Awesome pics. It is a great thing to give kids positive memories of snakes. I cringe when I hear the "my siblings taunted me with snakes as a kid and now I am terrified of them" story. Congrats for informing some young minds!
