Re: Another lock pic..
She had 8 eggs last year that all hatched healthily. The year before I lost her clutch of 8 due to a faulty incubator.. so I guess that I am expecting.. 8 eggs from her this year Ginger is really my favorite snake.

Re: Another lock pic..
From your experience, how many time your pair(s) lock up before female(s) normally gravid and stop feeding? Mine have locked up for 3-4 times now in 2-3 months, and the female still eat and I bet they'll lock up again if I throw them together. My male have been off feed for almost a month so I don't want him to get too tired lol
However, my female Mojave's weight have been way up from the first time I start putting her with the male pastel. She was around 1,300-1,400 before and now she's 1,800(maybe 1,700 empty) is that a good sign?
btw- good luck to you, hope you hatch out all spider

Re: Another lock pic..
Thanks. I would say on average, mine lock up 8-10 times during the season. I put them together for 1-3 days, and then after they seperate, I part them and feed the male always and the female sometimes if I feel she needs it, and give him a rest for 3 days. I then might put my male in with another female, and repeat this process, and then put him back with female 1.

Re: Another lock pic..
8-10 times? wow thanks for the info
but let say if my male stop feeding should I keep him out from the female untill he start feeding again? I mean he have been breeding, but will it kill him?

Re: Another lock pic..
As long as he is not getting too thin. If my male were to skip a feeding, I would still breed him. I would lay off if he seemed to be stressed and not responsive to the female, and was not eating. But none of my males ever went off feed during breeding.
