Depends on the T-stat, if you go with a helix or herpstat you can wire a power strip into it (unless you buy it already wired which Reptilebasics sells )then plug each shelf of your rack into a separate outlet. This way if you build a big rack for future snakes you don't have to be heating the unused shelves.
