That rat looks perfect for the size your snake, I started my 5month BP on small rats it takes him a few days to digest after that it is back to normal and hungry again, so since your snake is way bigger and the rat's girth is smaller than the snake's you should have no worries at all
My snake is 180 g (net weigh ) . It's been eating small rats for a while and I've never had a regurge.
Keep the temps up and no handling for 4 days after that meal.
I don't think his snake is WAY bigger than the rat. The rat is closer to a medium/ or a small sized large.
If he has doubts about the rat fitting in the stomach, how can you be so sure that the snake is SOOO much bigger than the rat? Especially when the picture has a coiled snake?
I still think we need a better picture for a more definite answer. Maybe even a weight on the snake.
I dunno with the way that snake is balled it may look thicker than it really is. If we had a picture of him fully extended I think the rat would look much larger than it does now. Also when you feed big prey items you increase the chances of your snake fasting and going off feed for extended periods. A fast is not horrible but you do need to know what you're looking for and when to worry concerning lost body weight. I'd rather feed smaller all year round than have to deal with a fast for 6 to 8 months out of the year.
