    Question on racks

Ok, I want to build a rack for my snakes, I now have two and plan on getting 5-8 more before the end of the year. I watch and read all I can get but am confused on a couple of items. First the tubs in photos have few to many holes on the sides do they come that way or do you burn them it to them. Next in the photos again look like the lids or not on is this due to the little space between shelf and tub or is it just me and the tubs with no lid are empty and are on when full or being used. Now when the flexwatt tape is used does most owners use one long single piece and loop it around or do they just cut it for each shelf and have many wires to hook up and plug in. And if one does loop it around would it be best to cut a part of the shelf so you don't have to smash the flexwatt tape? Just a few question on my mind... Thank for any help on these or any other I my not have thought of be for i build my first rack...

    Re: Question on racks

the holes are either soldered or drilled into the tubs. they don't come like that.

the lids are not used. the space between the shelves is so tight, there is no need for a lid.

i think the best way to run flexwatt is to wire each piece seperately so you can heat different tubs independently.

All my racks other than the baby rack. Are made pretty much like the Iris CB-110 rack on the 2nd link I gave you. I did use different tubs so my cuts were not the same as his. I also made my first one 8 tubs high. The rest I went with 7 tubs high and added wheels on the bottom. Hope these help. Also with his design I didnt have to put any holes in the tubs.
