    Re: Help Me Please!!!

    Hi,

Well couple of bits of info to check first to try and see if it can be narrowed down a bit.

When you say red how red exactly? Mild blush pink or blood red or somewhere inbetween?

When did he last shed? What are the temps and humidity and how are those measured and the cage setup? - this way we can try and see if anything stands out.

Did you change anything lately? How fast is it spreading and can you get any clear pictures of it?

Hopefully that should help folks narrow it down - but it might also be worth seeing when you could get a vet appointment if it is something your sure is serious.

    Any other questions/ideas guys?

Probably between 75-85? how and where are you measuring?

Are there any changes aside from colour in the areas? How is the humidity? What substrate are you keeping him on?

    Re: Help Me Please!!!

You're going to half to take the time to properly answer the questions... What does "prolly" 75-85 temps mean? Do you even have a thermometer in your BP's cage? Is it measuring the substrate temperature or the ambient temperature? Do you have a UTH?

It would be best to also post pictures...

    1.0 Western Hognose
    0.1 Brazilian Rainbow Boa
1.0 Hypo Columbian Red Tail Boa

    Re: Help Me Please!!!

My money is on a UTH (please don't say a hot rock) and the start of a belly burn. Since you don't seem to know exactly what the temps are, I'm betting your guessing the ambient and not hot spots. My second choice would be bacterial. For a guy who seems a bit freaked out, your surprisingly short on helpful info... Details would go a long way...........

    Cheers,
    Kat

    Re: Help Me Please!!!

Sounds like a burn to me. make sure he is in a safe temp range with a probed thermometer or a laser thermometer. Be careful ive lost one to a burn and it is horrable. Dial thermometers do not work. If temps are good or not id still take it to a vet. better to be safe than sorry.

If you are not going to answer the questions asked, you are not going to get the help you need. Dr. Del and others didn't ask their questions just to have something to type.
