Rant!
I hate to say it, but I can't stand the dog (Aurora) being here. I can't give her the exercise she needs and she ends up having to stay in her kennel most of the time. If I left the room for a second, she'll have dragged stuff around, and she has a history of tearing up carpet, peeing/pooping indoors, chewing up kitchen floors, scratching, ect. I now have to keep our kitten in the bathroom because if the dog sees him, she flips out and starts jumping around in her kennel, causing all sorts of noise and upsetting the cat. We can't put her in the bathroom because she'd tear it apart.
We've called the SPCA, the first available appointment is the 8th.
We've called other shelters, and no one answers the phone. Just an automated message giving information on shelter hours, adoption info, ect. Nothing on surrendering an animal.

I can't take this anymore! And I won't have time to take her in anywhere until Tuesday.

Tipical disobedient herding dog. She defanatly needs some work! Grab a tnnis ball and take her to the dog park for a few hours and wear here out. It works! Good luck!

Re: Rant!
What's the background on this dog? Why do you have her?
Have you tried umbilical cord work with her? Always keep her on a leash when she's out of the crate. I do this with the service dogs that I bring home, they would get into things if unsupervised, but since they are attached to me, they aren't given the opportunity to.

Re: Rant!
Background info:
Aurora belonged to my cousin who until recently, lived 15 min away from me. He and his girlfriend decided to move to Arizona and had no way of bringing Aurora with them, as his girlfriend's parents said no dogs (they are staying with her parents). My mother agreed to take care of her for the 6 months my cousin said it would take, but my mother could only handle so much with already two teenagers in the house, two dogs and the multiple friends coming over every day, so I offered to take her since my mom was threatening to let her loose into the neighborhood.
She is not spayed or vaccinated and is currently trying to get rid of roundworm (just took her last pill). I've already invested over $200 in this dog and I've had her for almost a month. I can't give her the exercise she needs due to a busy schedule and all the other animals I care for. I don't have the time for a dog who I thought came with at least some of her vaccinations. She's 6 months old and I live in a two bedroom apartment. I can't have her anymore. If the management here at the apartments gets wind of her, I'm toast.

Re: Rant!
Have you contacted your cousin about Aurora? Maybe he has a friend or acquaintance that is willing to care for her until they can get her again? I know I would be very upset if anyone agreed to care for my pet, and then just took her to a shelter because she got to be too much. I'd much prefer a call to let me know so that I can make other arrangements.
