    Chipmonks anyone?

i need some help, i got a chipmonk from a local petshop last week, he was very cold and not well at all, so ive kept him in a small carrier with a heat mat under it for warmth, hed get better and get worse again and he has lost ALOT of weight so i brought him to the vet today.

i had an idea he had the flu, but the vet reckons because he was imported from germany a few days before i got him and the stress of that made him get the flu, the vet is also worried its fatal, gave me baytril for him but i want to know is there anything else i can do ro give him to help him along

Wow, that poor little guy! Maybe put a blanket around the tub or cage, with the heating pad stuck to the side for warmth. (So he can move away if he gets too hot) Make sure he stays hydrated, do you have an eye dropper to help him get liquids? And just keep an eye on him. They are fragile when sick, so giving them low stress, warmth, food, liquids and the anti-biotics I think is the best you can do. I hope he pulls through for you!
(I'm just applying rat care to this case)
