10% Bleach
Hi all,
I want to use a 10% bleach solution to disinfect and completely clean Salzedo's enclosure tomorrow when I change his substrate.
I know that it is advised to "rinse and rinse again", but, with the UTH attached to the bottom of the tank what is the best way of doing this? Any tips or hints?
Thanks a bunch!

Re: 10% Bleach
I would rinse the tank on it's side so the UTH is on the side(not bottom and will not get wet. i have some vision enclosures that I use for quarantines and they have UTH's on the bottoms too. So when I rinse them out this is what I do. I can hose then down and let water run out with the UTH in the air and not on bottom. The Vision's used to be my main cages but mantainence was so much work. Once you switch to tubs you will never go back. Hope this is helpful

Not to steal this thread but, I use antibacterial hand soap and have been doing so since Ive had Snak-ee (6 mo). Is this not recommended?

Re: 10% Bleach
I use a big tub of water and a water-only sponge, and a "dirty" tub. rinse, use a sponge to transfer water to the dirty tub. Repeat one or two more times. Allow to dry thoroughly. Little time consuming, but it's always worked for me. I use glass tanks for everything but the BRB, I'm assuming that's what you're using? My method might get mess for a front-opening enclosure...
