Re: The official "What did you get for Christmas?" thread
well, my favorite gift, and the only one i'll disclose, was a pair of pearl earrings my mom gave me to match the set of pearls my grandparents gave me.

Re: The official "What did you get for Christmas?" thread
It's been a wonderful Christmas so far. I'm grabbing an hour to myself to sit and relax and sip a cup of the most yummy Creme Brulee coffee my eldest, Kayte and her partner Nicole, treated me to (they know my love of good coffee *drool*)
All the kids enjoyed their gifts this year I think. We're a very blessed family that everyone's in great health, employed, busy at school and having an all around good year.
Mike and I treated ourselves to a small HDMI LCD wide screen tv so I'm really enjoying that (and the DVR thing....how cool to be able to record things so easily and pause live tv...wow!). We also got a really nice smoker/roaster thing which is currently cooking our Christmas bird and it smells GOOD! A new digital coffeemaker so I can wake up to the smell of my beloved coffee was much appreciated!
Lots of other neat stuff....DVD's, little special gifts but the best gift of all is just the smiles and hugs and the love that's always there, but even more so on this one special day of the year.
The very best of the season to all of you.
P.S. Anyone want to guess how high a 46 year old woman can jump when trying to avoid being run over/tripped by the two new RC cars Mikey received this year? Apparently it's hilarious to roar a car at me from the evil giggles I'm hearing! For some reason I think older brother Luke and daddy Mike will enjoy racing them down the long center hallway too! Gawd help me trying to get to my kitchen to check the turkey when I now apparently live in a racetrack! LOL

Oh and a certain VERY surprise Christmas gift of the scaley kind will be coming home sometime in the New Year, thanks to Lynn Whipple and Adam Wysocki. More to come on that later.

Re: The official "What did you get for Christmas?" thread
Let's see... the surprise this year was an Ipod Shuffle. I'd kinda been wanting one and had been debating about buying one. All the gifts were open when my parents pulled out two surprises (one for me and one for my sis). Whoohoo! The Shuffle!
And I received a very nice leather bag for my work laptop and files.
The biggest gift was an exercise bike---helped purchase it and put it together yesterday. Can you guess what the New Years Resolution is going to be???
BTW... Jo, I really appreciate all that you and Mike have done for me and can't wait to see some pics in January! Mitch, you're a great friend, and I can't wait to see some little noses pipping someday. Thanks so much to the both of you---to all of you!---for what you have added to my life!

We don't have much this year either, in fact no presents under our tree at home, but it's OK I've got my honey.
From my mom I got a new sewing machine, gift cards to Joanna Fabrics, Giant Eagle, and Baker's Square. I got a nice overnight bag and some slippers from my brother and a set of vanilla candles from my sister. We also got two calendars, a cat one for the computer room with our various appointments to put on it and a turtle one for the snake room to put feedings and sheds on it. I also got $50.00 in cash and then my fiance and I both got $25 to spilt from my aunt.
We actually opened them Xmas Eve, though I kinda wish everyone waited til Xmas morning.
