Actually, someone sending you snakes with mites is a big problem.

Are you certain that you purchased 100% het piebalds? IE, are you confident that the seller is legitimate and not selling normals as hets? The price for a male and female pair seems too good to be true. Who was the seller?

I wonder if he bought possible hets ,no TRUE seller would give away a TRUE 100% hets at that price

That's the first thought that came to MY mind-that seems a very low price, and there have been several "fake het piebald" scams the last few years! The fact that yours came complete with mites makes me think it was a fairly shady operator....

    Re: het piebald

will these came from a local shop they were going to make a piebald out of these 2 later on but then his father bought them a piebald so he said he didn't need them but then he told me that he just let it mate with a normal one. so why would he do that because a he would out of that is het so he will just start over.

100% het pied pair for $250: highly suspicious, I think you are gonna be in for a big disappointment in couple of years.

Are you sure this is not a 50% Het pied pair???

Plus the female came with mites??? What reputable seller would ship a snake with mites? This is completely UNACCETABLE

I'm not sure what you are trying to ask in your last question, it makes no sense at all.

Did your local shop also provide you with genetics paperwork from the original breeder, that guarantees that they are 100% het for piebald?

I think you got sold some very expensive normals with mites.

    Re: het piebald

I think the OP is saying the seller told her he was selling the het pair cheap because his father bought a visable pied, and that he'd just breed the pied to a normal.. and that it didn't make sense, since he'd only get hets out of that.
If the pair really was het, he'd keep at least the female het to breed to that pied, and get visable pieds out of it.
I'd say, IMHO, you've been scammed. YOu MIGHT have a het pied male($250 for a het pied male isn't unheard of) but a pair? Not likely, and that the one had mites is disturbing.
Good luck with them, but I'd just expect them to be normals.

    Re: het piebald

I agree, it's entirely possible you got a het pied male and a normal female for that price (still cheap, but hey, it could happen)... but the mites thing is fishy, indeed.

No way you got two het pieds... sorry dude.
