Re: He really is a dwarf!! Pics inside
maybe he'll get a sudden growth spurt and shoot up ten feet!
hey i have a little female red-tail that must be over 7 months old right now and she weighs only 75g! she gets a f/t rat pink every week. she is so tiny and her clutchmates are at least 4 times her size. think she'll be a dwarf too??

Thanks Guys, he will probably stay under 4 1/2' and almost surely under 5'. He has really grown on me in these few days and I am starting to like him more and more. I am already saving up for his girlfriend as he is of breeding age already
Its hard to say, I will private message you a link of a "runt" of the litter so we don't get this off topic

Too many boas to list and a few balls as well

Great looking little Boa!
I'll be looking for one the next show I get to make it to.
How do you find his temperament compared to other boas of non-dwarf status?
You mentioned he is a Sonoran Desert Boa, what are the differences between these and the Sonoran Mountain Boas I've seen on KS?
Thanks a bunch

I saw those ads also................I assumed that they were referring to Tarahumara Mt. boas, but I may be wrong........
We have a sonoran male and a tarahumara male. Both are roughly 5 years old and both are less than 4', with relatively slender builds.
Frankly, they are identical snakes. The tarahumara is a locality variant (subspecies) of the sonoran desert boa so I suppose this shouldn't have been a surprise to me..........
As far as temperment goes, both will hiss and strike if pushed. However, this behavior disappears when they are removed from their respective enclosures and they become extremely handleable.

He can be pissy when I first open the tub but he is a curious little dude the second I take him out of his tub and in my hands. Pretty cool guy and he reminds me more of a colubrid then a boa
