Sexing
My ball has a tail that is really fat and then all the sudden skinny. Also her anal spurs are very small. She is a baby and about 18-20" long. I was just wandering what you all thought it was male or female? From all the reading I have done all signs point to female....I hope thats what it is I really want a female.

Re: Sexing
You'll need to get her sexed by someone experienced in probing or popping. I've got females with really big spurs and females with really little spurs. I've got males with really little spurs, and males with really big spurs.

Yeah I understand I just thought that it was really wired that her tail went from being really fat to really skinny rather than a gradual fat to skinny.

He or She might just be workin up a poop or some uriates, Ive noticed that 2 or 3 days after a feeding my girl gets a lump near her vent, and then the lump is gone in exchange for present left in the tub. And about the sexing, the only way your gonna find out is buy going to a herp vet and getting it probed or popped, usually probing is what vets do. Sometimes they won't be able to give you a definitive answer because of the age of the snake. Babys dont have as strong of muscle control so the males who tend to tighten up when being probed won't and might be mistaken for females. But most of the time the vet will know.
