Then you tape the probe in the middle of your uth. Then you mess with the temps for awhile until your digital thermometer says 92 degrees on the hot side. One being your snake could pee or spill water on the probe or the unit and could either raise the temps up to a deadly temp or electricute(sorry i can't spell) your snake. Or your snake is slithering around its tank and decides to do some re aranging with the probe and puts it on the cool side and the probe starts to read the wrong temp therfore raising up the uth way to hot. This can kill your snake within a few hours. But i understand where you are when i opened up the box of mine i was completly baffled by it. I had no idea what i was doing.
Yup, we were discussing the thermometer placement. the probe should be on the hot spot, and the actual unit should be on the cool end.
